The mattress in the Eco Casket consists of two layers of soft cotton padding. These cotton pads contain a minimum 85% post industrial recycled cotton. The majority of this recycled fiber comes from cut-off in blue jean manufacturing (hence the blue color). The two layers have a total thickness of seven inches, and are covered by a flannel sheet. For larger persons one of the layers can be removed.
